Hull Connect 300 300

This is the number

Hull Connect is expanding. City Council customers can now get information on any council service from a single call to the Hull Connect call centre on 300300.

"Our call centre operators can now give an instant answer on a wide range of the most common enquiries, from library opening times to council tax bands," explained Jack Hornsby, head of the City Council's Corporate Customer Services. "The beauty of it is that you can find out about all the services from just one phone number."

If customers require more complex information, for example on planning applications, an e-mail will automatically be sent to a 'back office' expert who will then contact them.

Since its launch last August, the full Hull Connect service has been available for customer requests relating to street services - highways, street lighting, cleansing, grounds maintenance, highway development control, traffic and environmental health.

Cutting edge Oracle CRM technology allows requests, for example to fix faulty street lighting, to be automatically logged for action with the relevant maintenance team.

More council services are soon to be given the full Hull Connect treatment, beginning with Housing Maintenance in August.
