Walk this way

Many more people will soon be able to walk on the wildlife side. Work has started on creating a network of gravel paths which will open up the Noddle Hill Wildlife Area in Bransholme to all.

Already enjoyed by anglers, dog walkers and local primary school children, the four and a half acre beauty spot will be made more accessible for older people and those with disabilities. With a fishing lake and pond, the site provides a natural habitat for many different species of birds and small animals, including swans, mallards, coots, newts and frogs.

The work, on about a mile of pathways, is being undertaken by offenders subject to community punishment orders, and is being coordinated by the City Council's Urban Park Rangers in partnership with the Probation Service.
