Where the streets have no name

#

Can you name new streets in St Stephen's?

A competition has been launched to name two new city streets, which have emerged as part of Hull's St Stephen's development.
One of the streets, which winds right through the heart of the £200 million retail and leisure development, links Park Street with Ferensway.
The other is a smaller street linking Colonial Street to Spring Street.
Hull City Council's highways team is now asking members of the public to think of names for the streets.
"They'll be central to the life of the city, so it's fitting that local people should name them," said principal highway engineer Howard Johnson.
"St. Stephen's will be opening later this year, and as it's the Wilberforce bicentenary year it may be that the streets should be named along Wilberforce themes of pride, freedom, belief and change.
"But we would be open to all appropriate suggestions."
Send your names to Streets Competition, Hull in print, The Guildhall, Alfred Gelder Street, Hull, HU1 2AA.
If a suitable suggestion is found, the winner will receive two free tickets to a show of their choice at Hull New Theatre.
Judging will be carried out by a panel of representatives from Hull City Council, Hull Citybuild and St. Stephen's developers. Closing date is April 30.
