Trawling through history
More than £120,000 has been raised to pay for a fishermen's memorial statue. The statue, in memory of more than 6,000 trawlermen from the city who have lost their lives at sea in the last 100 years.
The public will be consulted as to how they want the statue to look, before an artist is commissioned.
Meanwhile, the city's fishing heritage comes into the spotlight this month with the seasonal opening of the Arctic Corsair trawler museum.
Volunteer tour guides are needed for the museum, which has received a total of 25,000 visitors since it was set up 10 years ago.
