Fishy business...

Good ingredients, expertly prepared, were on the menu when Paul Robinson, head chef at Hull restaurant Venn, gave his backing to the City Council's healthy eating scheme.

Thirty children from three west Hull primary schools, Constable, Chilton and Newington, were invited to the Guildhall while Paul prepared lunch for the Lord Mayor and their parents. Coun. Nadine Fudge helped to organise the event for the three schools in her area.

The pupils were also given a chance to try out their own recipes under Paul's guidance. The council's ground-breaking scheme provides free, healthy meals to all Hull's primary schools.

Paul Robinson said: "It was a lovely opportunity to be able to influence the eating choices of young children. I showed them that food that is good for them is very tasty and appealing."
