Senior services

A new charter for over 50s is being launched next month. Created and developed by people over 50, health and social care workers, carers and representatives from voluntary groups, the charter sets out service standards throughout Hull and aims to ensure that people in that age group are fully involved in service developments.

The charter, which is being supported by Hull City Council and local health services, is part of the Better Government for Older People initiative which aims to give everyone over 50 the opportunity to shape and monitor services within the city.

It will be launched on September 9 at 11.00am at the Guildhall when two afternoon workshops will be used to look at issues relating to over 50s. If you would like to take part, find out more about the charter or get involved in Better Government for Older People then please call Ian Hunte on 616412 or email ian.hunte@hullcc.gov.uk.
