Who can claim free school meals?

Children up to the age of 16 who are in full-time education in Hull (or up to the age of 18 if attending a school sixth form or special school) whose parents or carers are in receipt of:
Income support, Jobseekers Allowance (income based), or Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of £14,995 or less, or guaranteed element of State Pension Credit. Asylum seekers (supported by the National Asylum Support Service) can also claim free school meals.

How do I apply?

Parents who qualify need to complete an application form (Form EWB1) which is available from schools (during term time) of from all customer service centres (CSCs).
(For addresses of CSCs see page 3 of this magazine).
