Marta, Dominik, Kinga, Karol, Weronika, Ala, Manuel and Marcin from the Polish School, are looking forward to watching all the different nations taking part in the Olympic Games (known as Gry Olimpijskie in Polish).
They start on 8 August in Beijing, China.
They are really interested in the running, riding, boxing, football, swimming, badminton and tennis.
Did you know that in 1948 the Olympic Games were held in London, and they will be held in London again in four years time, in 2012?

The games we play
We play lots of games (called "gry" in Polish) in the playground at school.
We play hide and seek, space hopper races, tag/tig, blind man's buff, hopscotch, dodge ball, skipping and obstacle races. |
Games and sports are really good for us because we;-
- Play together
- Have fun
- Learn new things
- Make new friends
- Learn to share
- Are more happy and healthy
- Keep our hearts and
- lungs working well
- Keep our bodies in
- good condition
- Help us not be over weight
- Have more energy

We found out that people in a village called Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales have lots of fun in August with their Scarecrow festival (which happens between August 9 and 17).
The whole village decorates scarecrows and lots of visitors come to look at them.
You can find information about it on www.kettlewell.info/scarecrow.cfm

In June we asked you to tell us about your dream trip to a forest or wood.
We received some fantastic entries, and the following three were judged the best.
The winners are:
Lauren Joules – 9 years
Kate Gillings – 11 years
William Shaw – 8 years
They will each be receiving their prize shortly.
Thank you to all who entered.
Unfortunately the stories were too long to be printed on our page.
