Our adventure

# The Marfleet Primary news crew went on a residential trip with school to Acorn Adventures just outside Keswick in the Lake District.
Here's what they said.

It was brilliant! We stayed in tents. We had a go at gorge walking in the mountains, rock climbing, abseiling, orienteering and canoeing.
We played lots of games on the nights too like Generation Game and dressing up as superheroes.
We played lots of team games too. These help you to learn to:
Work together
Listen to each other
Not cheat
Not moan and grumble

For some children, it was their first night away from home/parents. If this happens to you, then it's ok to be a bit worried, but still go as it's a great experience.

What should you pack in your suitcase?

Water bottle (drinking)
Teddy bear
Sun cream
Change of clothes (lots)
Money
Hot water bottle
Shampoo/toiletries Hair/make up
Sleeping bags and pillows
Note books/pens/pencils/diary
Disposable camera
Insect repellent
Footwear
Soap/towels.
Black bags for dirty clothes

Goodbye

It's goodbye from Abbie, Charlotte, Emily, Hardeep, Jack, James, Jessica, Joel, Megan and Natalie from Marfleet Primary School. Hull in print would like to thank them for their hard work.

Moving up?

If you're moving up to secondary school in September, here's some advice.
Choose the right group of friends
Don't be too worried
Keep old friends and make new ones
Be polite
Be on time
Go with friends or family if you can
Ask for help if you need it
Build on what you have already learned
