Dance spectacular: Faye Dalee

Despite falling victim to the floods, a group of 70 children and young people from west Hull have raised £1,700 for charity by putting on a spectacular dance show.
The group, known as 'Faye's Freestylerz' performed without stage lights, curtains and even a stage after their venue – St Thomas Moore Primary School in Elgar Road – was damaged in the floods.
"It was really difficult getting everyone together for rehearsals because a lot of the dancers' homes were flooded and they had to be re-housed in other parts of the city," said Faye Dalee (19), a dance student at Hull University, who coaches the group and who organised the show.
Money from the show, which featured break dance, free style, hip hop and street dance styles, was donated to St.Andrew's Children's Hospice in Grimsby, which helps terminally-ill youngsters.
"Even though it's in Grimsby it helps children all over the Humber area," added Faye.

The dance group meets 'for fun and fitness' twice a week on Saturdays at Costello Sports Stadium, between 9 and 10.30am and at St Thomas Moore Primary School on Thursdays between 6 and 7pm (for ages 7-10), from 7 to 8pm (for ages 11-13), and between 8 and 9pm (for ages 14 and above).
For more information contact Faye on Hull 503009.
