I wish I could fly – like Peter Pan

# In his early career Keith Harris had a connection with Hull because he bought a private car number plate from the city.
It had the letters 'KH.' But he later replaced it with a plate that read 'ORV1L' in honour of his green, fluffy co-star, who is famous for wishing he could fly.
The pair are appearing in Peter Pan at Hull New Theatre between 10 December and 10 January, when Keith (with Orville) will be playing Smee, sidekick to the evil Captain Hook (Paul Nicholas).
It's been 21 years since they last did panto in Hull, when they smashed previous box office records with Humpty Dumpty.
"We had a fantastic time and were really well accepted by everyone, so I'm really looking forward to coming back," says ventriloquist Keith, who lives just outside Blackpool.
"I love the old town in Hull but I've never had a proper chance to look around the city."
Of course, no performance by Keith and Orville would be complete without an appearance from Cuddles the monkey.
"He comes on at the end and sends the whole thing up and wonders what he's doing there," adds Keith.
"But we can't change the tale too much as it's a wonderful fairy story."
Starring in the show as Peter Pan is Ben James-Ellis, who beat thousands of hopefuls to become one of the 12 finalists in the BBC1 talent show Any Dream Will Do.

My interview with a Bond girl by Chris Tate (19)

#

An excellent thing has happened in my life: I got to interview movie star Rachel Grant.
Rachel played the character Peaceful Fountains of Desire in Die Another Day.
She also starred alongside Jean Claude Van Damme in Until Death.
I was very excited that I finally got to interview her.
One question I asked her was did she always want to be an actress and she told me that she did – ever since she was little.
She talked about some of the other movie stars she's met.
What's Rachel's favourite martial arts weapon? She said it was nunchucks...
and her nails!
If I cooked a meal for her she told me that she likes curry, but I could cook anything for her.
At first I felt nervous and then afterwards I was happy.
The best part of the interview was...all of it!
I interviewed Rachel on the telephone but she said maybe we will meet someday!

Chris attends the Switched On Media youth group, part of Hull's Youth Development Service, which meets at Kingston Youth Centre every Wednesday teatime.
He has cerebral palsy and learning difficulties.
