Two of Britain's finest figure skaters will appear alongside more than 90 children and young people from Hull Arena's figure skating club in The Spirit of Christmas on Ice show
There'll be some dazzling performances from David Richardson (22), of the International School of Skating, in Nottingham, (this month's front cover star) together with former British novice girls skating champion Jessica Roebuck (17), who is from west Hull
"It's a real family show with dance, music and comedy and lots of surprises," says Steve Gregory, manager at Hull Arena
"And there's sure to be a few gasps in the crowd when reindeers Donner and Blitzen appear in the grand finale pulling Father Christmas on a sleigh."
Narrated by KCFM DJ Rob Langley, the show looks at how Christmas has changed over the years, from times when decorations were rarely used and money was scarce
Supported by the young skaters, David and Joanna play many different roles in a variety of scenes, including a comedy scene where a mum and dad cook Christmas dinner
There's also Victorian-period skating scene
The show is directed and choreographed by Hull Arena ice-skating coach Adrian Jack, who toured the world with Disney on Ice
The show is supporting the Help for Heroes charity for wounded British servicemen
It runs at Hull Arena on Friday 11 December at 7pm, Saturday 12 December at 1.30pm and 5.00pm, and Sunday 13 December at 1.30pm and 5.00pm
