An anti-burglar scheme in Sutton Park and the Roebank area of Bransholme is being extended as the result of an extra £70,000 in funding from the Home Office. All householders in the two areas can now obtain free security packages to safeguard their property. The packages, previously available only to burglary victims, include detector alarms, window alarms, security marking and door chains and spyholes. Ian Crookham, chair of Hull Community Safety Partnership, said: "The scheme has already provided free security for over 900 households and is making a real difference to crime." To get your free security package, ring the Community Safety Unit on 615022 or PROBE on 715391. |
