Support for businesses

The Small Business Recovery Scheme (SBRS) has been set up by the region’s development agency Yorkshire Forward to provide up to £2,500 per company for immediate recovery needs.
The support includes advice, practical help with cleaning up after the flood and information on how to access funding from the SBRS.
It will award up to £2,500 to eligible businesses, while larger companies employing more than 250 people will be assessed on a case by case basis to look at what help can be provided.
This scheme is being run alongside the recovery plans of Local Authorities and with the assistance of Business Link, the Chambers of Commerce and other partners.
Hull Business Link is the single point of contact for all Hull based companies affected by the floods. They can be contacted on 0845 124 3333 for help and support.
“It is important that businesses receive the support they require and receive it quickly,” says Cllr Andy Sloan, who has responsibility for regeneration in the city.
“We have also contacted the banking sector on behalf of Hull businesses and again there has been a tremendous response and the promise of understanding and support through this difficult period.
“For some businesses disruption is inevitable but we hope to minimise the effects and help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”
