Krakow is a city in Poland.
There is a big church in the central square of Krakow.
Many years ago, in the city a man played a tune from the towers of the church to get the people to protect the city from attack.
One day the man was playing his trumpet from the towers when he was shot by an arrow.
Now, every day to represent his bravery a man appears in the towers of the church and plays a tune on his trumpet.
He stops playing suddenly to represent being shot by an arrow.
You can hear the tune at www.krakow-info.com/hejnal.htm

Poznan is one of the oldest cities in Poland.
Poznan has an old town hall in the old market place.
Everyday at noon, you can see two clockwork goats head butting one another at the top of the tower.
This is to represent something that happened hundreds of years ago.
A young boy took two goats from the market place and left them at the top of the tower.
The man who owned the goats came back to the market and when he saw they had gone, started to look for them.
He found them at the top of the tower.
Whilst he was up there he saw a fire approaching the city.
The man was able to warn everyone and stop the city from being destroyed by the fire.
