Call centre
By dialling 300300 you can speak to our customer service advisers who will be able to answer many of your questions and if they can't help you directly, they will put you in touch with someone who can.
Car parking badges
A disabled person can apply for a Disabled Person's Car Badge. The badge is valid for three years.
Car parks
The council provides 16 public car parks in the city including: Albion Street, Pryme Street, Hanover Square, Lowgate, Osbourne Street, Blanket Row, George Street, Mason Street, Charlotte Mews, John Street, Francis Street and Waterhouse Lane.
Census of population
The council analyses the census data relating to Hull to help formulate plans that will accommodate changing patterns and needs for future services.
Chewing gum removal
The council regularly washes the city centre streets to keep them clear of the sticky stuff.
Child care and protection
Children and family resource centres in Hull work with children who are in need or at risk of harm. The council also owns a number of children's homes for the care of children whose parents can no longer look after them.
Childminding
For information, including the registration of childminders, private day nurseries and playgroups, please contact The Commission for Social Care Inspection on 350363.
Children's centres
There are 15 children's centres in Hull where parents can get information and advice about raising children. The centre at Walker Street has a nursery classroom for children with special needs and their families.
Citizenship ceremonies, civil marriages and civil partnerships
Hull Register Office holds citizenship ceremonies for people who have emigrated to the city from overseas. The George Street office also holds civil marriages and civil partnerships for same sex couples.
City learning centres
There are two CLCs in Hull which provide adult education classes and information technology services for all Hull schools.
Clinical waste
We provide a weekly clinical waste collection service. It is free of charge to domestic properties and charged at an economic rate for trade premises.

Commercial properties
The council supports the local community by providing land and premises to let, from large development sites to premises for retail and office use.
Community care services
The council provides support to people aged 18 or above who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health difficulties. This includes day services, short breaks, home care, and residential care.
Community centres
We can provide advice and training to volunteers running and managing community centres.
Community safety
The council has a responsibility to do all that it reasonably can to prevent crime and disorder and has a statutory obligation to produce a strategy for tackling crime and disorder.
Community transport
'Home to Hospital' is a pre-bookable bus service that will take you from your door to Castle Hill Hospital. 'Dial-A-Ride' is a door-to-door service for people who find public transport difficult to use and if requested, the service will take people to, and from, Hull Royal Infirmary. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
Concessionary bus passes
Bus passes are issued at libraries and customer service centres.
Conservation
The council protects sites of architectural merit, historical interest and areas of natural beauty or importance to wildlife.
Consumer credit
This service gives advice on credit agreements and general credit queries.
Consumer law advice
This service advises Hull residents if they have purchased faulty goods or have a dispute with a trader.

Coroner's office
The H.M. Coroner's Office in Essex House, Manor Street, investigates sudden and unnatural deaths.
Council housing
The Council has more than 30,000 homes for rent in the city. Council tenants have the right to exchange properties with other council tenants or with tenants of housing associations.
Council tax benefits
Housing and council tax benefit are available to help people on low incomes pay their rent and council tax.
Cycling
The city has 106km of cycle routes, including 48km of off-road cycle tracks, 45km of cycle lanes on the road and 13km of signed routes through traffic-calmed areas and quiet streets.
