Now that the weather is getting warmer, it's great to visit forests and woodlands. So say pupils from Hull's Polish School. They are Manuel, Kinga, Alicja, Weronika, Marta, Mavcin and Karol.

Things to do in woods or forests
|
look at animals
find insects
listen to birds singing
go for a picnic
take photographs
play games
But be careful not to...
cut down trees or plants
hurt animals
start fires
drop rubbish (take it home with you!)
shout or play loud music
take anything away with you
go in a car (unless there is a special route)
let dogs get out of control
Places to visit nearby
Humber Bridge Country Park (next to the Humber Bridge) has woods, meadows, ponds, cliffs and a sculpture trail.
There are lots of fun events and activities too e.g. storytelling, nest building and working with willow! For more details visit the website www.graydk.karoo.net
And a bit further away, there's Dalby Forest, which is in the North York Moors National Park. The nearest village is Thorton le Dale. There is a visitors' centre and lots of fun things to do like badger watching, star watching, hiring a bike and guided walks.
For more details visit the website www.forestry.gov.uk/dalbyforest
