R'eya – Very hot sounds from Hull's multi-national stars Bora Shabaa – Congolese singing, dancing and drumming Hekima and the Bongo Flava – African reggae from top East African band Projekt Feenix – Hull based multinational group playing hip hop Shanga Band – The best in Kurdish folk music The Nile Group – The flavour of the Nile from Hull based Sudanese group Nzaya Nzayadio – sounds from the streets of Kinshasa

Thornton Festival of Culture

A mini festival celebrating the different cultures that give Hull it's cosmopolitan flavour. There will be a huge variety of fun activities for the whole family, including live music and dance, workshops, exhibitions and arts & crafts from around the world. A superb selection of free Afro-Caribbean, Halal and vegetarian food will round the day off with real taste.
