Jane Eyre is one of the greatest and most popular works of English fiction, and has been lovingly brought to the stage with a beautifully orchestrated, soaring score from Paul Gordon, and lyrics from John Caird who adapted Les Misérables for the stage, one of the most successful musicals of all time. Hessle Theatre Company present the Yorkshire premiere of this stunning show to Hull audiences.

Organised by the Hull Daily Mail and sponsored by Hull City Council, this event aims to highlight opportunities for buying property and shared ownership in regeneration areas, where high quality, energy-efficient homes are being built. Meanwhile, Hull City Council staff will advise on mortgage rescue services as well as on home-improvement grants.

Handel's Athalia is one of the most important pieces in the history of choral music.
It is a story of supernatural haunting, fear and bloody revenge, based on an historical event - the overthrow of the tyrannical ruler Athalia, daughter of the more famous Jezebel, and the reinstatement of the true heir to the throne. Rarely performed anywhere and last heard in Hull 36 years ago.
