Green fingers go urban

#

Last year's Springwatch event

Hull's Queen Victoria Square will be turned into a giant open air garden as part of this year's BBC Springwatch event.
Turf will be laid over parts of the square and floral displays will decorate King Edward Street, Jameson Street and the fountain near Queen's Gardens.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the RSPB will have stalls and information displays, and gardening products of all kinds will be on sale.
BBC Radio Humberside will broadcast Gardeners' Question Time from Ferens Art Gallery, and Hull City Council recycling and allotments officers can offer tips and advice about going green.
Springwatch is organised by Hull City Council, the BBC, and the Hull city centre Business Improvement District company (BID Co).

Springwatch runs from 10am to 7pm on Friday 8 June and from 10am to 4pm the following day.
