Super group put faith in Wilberforce 2007 petition

Hull City stars have also signed the petition

The Wilberforce 2007 petition has received yet another big boost from the dance super group, Faithless who are backing Hull's petition against modern day slavery.
Faithless were in Hull to perform at Hull Arena when Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss (pictured above) from the group put their names to the Fight for Freedom campaign.
Maxi Jazz said: "This petition should be signed by everyone with a conscience.
"It is astonishing that in our modern day society people don't possess the simplest of human rights, that of freedom," he continued. "This petition gives us the power to help fight for the rights of others."
Faithless have achieved worldwide success and have sold more than three million albums since bursting onto the music scene 10 years ago.
Faithless join The Kooks, The Thrills, celebrity hairdresser Mark Hill and over 5,500 online names of support, which together will lobby for the eradication of modern day slavery. Each name added makes a huge difference as the fight that William Wilberforce started continues today.
The petition is organised in partnership with Anti-Slavery International, Hull City Council and the Wilberforce 2007 Partners.
And its not just stars from the world of music who are backing the petition - Hull City players recently took time out of their training schedule to show their support.
Nick Barnby said: "It is important to support campaigns like the Fight for Freedom petition and it is great that the city of Hull is backing a campaign that can help the lives of millions of people worldwide."
Signing the petition only takes a minute but can make a lifetime of difference to those enslaved.
