Pole to pole

The latest Hull in print News Crew is from Hull Polish School.
Here pupils write about their school and homeland.

The Polish School opened in September 2006. There are 90 children who attend lessons. We are taught Polish to remember our first language but we also learn English. We get to spend time with other Polish children and make friends.
At the moment we are helping to arrange COOLture – a multicultural event for children and young people which will take place on May 17, 10.30am - 3.30pm at the Albemarle Centre.
We also have our own library containing Polish and English books.

Drawing competition

When spring begins all the younger children in Poland draw a picture of 'Lady Spring'. They try to imagine what the spring would look like if it was a lady. Can you draw her?
Send your A4 entries with your name, age and address to Hull Children's Fund, Municipal Buildings, Trippett Street, Hull HU2 8AA by May 30. The winner will receive a prize.

Winner

In March, we asked you to find a hidden sentence. The sentence was 'The sun is the light source which our planet orbits around. It is a big ball of gas.' Thank you to everyone who sent entries in. Well done to our winner Sophie Marsden aged 11 who will receive a prize of a year's subscription to the RSPCA's under 13s Animal Action Club.
