Volunteering drive

#

If you see this bus parked in your neighbourhood during the first week in June why not hop on and find out how you can become a volunteer?
The bus will be touring the city during Volunteers' Week, which aims to recognise the contribution of more than 16,000 volunteers in the city.
They each give more than two hours of their time per week in a variety of roles, including shop and office work, driving, gardening, caring and mentoring.
"Whilst giving something to the community, becoming a volunteer can help people gain confidence, learn new skills, be involved in something worthwhile and make new friends," says Tom Grealy, manager of the Hull Community and Voluntary Services (CVS) Volunteer Centre.

For more information, or to find out when the bus is in your area, contact Hull CVS on 324474, email tgrealy@hull-cvs.co.uk, or visit www.hullcvs.org.uk
You can also visit the national volunteering website www.do-it.org.uk and click on Hull to view more than 300 volunteering opportunities across the city.
