Parent power

A parenting conference was held at Hull's Octagon Centre to launch both the city's parenting strategy and parenting network.
Leading national academic in parenting, Professor Charles Desforges, was keynote speaker at the conference, which highlighted good parenting practice and provided the opportunity for parents and practitioners to share knowledge.
Cllr Christine Randall, portfolio holder for children's services, said: "The development of a parenting network which will help to spread knowledge and best practice will increase parenting skills to help all families in the city."
