Wilberforce 2007

Last month, we went along to Queen's Gardens to see the start of the Wilberforce 2007 events. We all got henna tattoos and made flags and we saw stilt walkers, a magician, singers, dancers, and lots of other things. We just wish more people could have turned up to get the message about slavery - and how it still goes on today. To find out more about slavery, why not visit www.wilberforce2007.com

Moving up

The Hull in print news crew - that's us - have moved from primary to secondary school. We are all settling in well and have made lots of new friends. We like the teachers, the new lessons and love the food, and no one gets their head flushed down the toilet!

Competition winners

In August, we asked you to draw a picture of your favourite place in Hull - and thanks to everyone who took part. The winner is this picture of Queen's Gardens, sent in by Allannah Harraway. We've also printed the entries of the runners-up. Each one will get a prize.

Hull Fair Art Competition

This month's competition is to make a picture of your favourite part of Hull Fair. Just draw or paint your design on A4 paper and send it, together with your name, address and age, to 'Art Competition', Hull Children's Fund, Municipal Buildings, Trippett Street, Hull, HU2 8AA. The winner will receive a prize and their picture will be printed in Hull in print.
