Four in hand

#

Four new shops have opened in St. Stephen's as the centre celebrates its first birthday.
They are:

  • the Bags Etc shop, which sells bags and luggage cases
  • the Aleef news kiosk,
  • the Mooshakes kiosk, which sells take-away milkshakes and smoothies,
  • and the Potato Bakehouse, which sells hot jacket potatoes

They join the 36 other retailers in St.Stephen's who between them have taken an average of £1.5m per week since the centre opened on September 20 last year.
In that time the centre has created more than 1,500 new jobs, including at least 300 for people who were previously unemployed.
A total of 2,500 jobs are expected to have been created when the centre is fully let.
Over the last year more than 24,000 people have been delivered to St Stephen's every day through the Paragon Transport Interchange
More than 450,000 people with a collective retail spend of £1.8 billion per year live within a 30-minute drive of St. Stephen's.
Paul Wood was the lucky winner of £50 in vouchers to spend at a St. Stephen's store of his choice following our competition in August.
