Lots of children will be going into a new class or starting at a new school this month, so here are some of our ‘top tips’ for moving up:
Don’t feel shy - you’ll make new friends
Don’t feel worried or scared
Try not to cry
Try to feel happy
Be nice, be polite
Enjoy your new class
Be prepared – make sure you take everything you need
Advice for teachers
Lots of teachers will also be starting with a new class of children this month so here’s our advice about ‘how to be a good teacher.’ We think teachers should:-
Be kind
Try to calm down a bit
Make lessons fun and interesting
Listen to us and our ideas
Don’t make homework too easy
Be prepared
Some of the things you might need to take to school are: a bag, pencil case, pencil, pen, ruler, rubber, P.E. kit, money (for bus fares and dinner money).
You can cut this out and write in your own ideas so you remember to take everything with you.
