Goodbye, dowidzenia... au revoir, adios, auf wiedersehen, arriverderci...

Marta, Dominik, Kinga, Karol, Weronika, Ala, Manuel and Marcin, from the Polish School, would like to say goodbye (or in Polish it's "dowidzenia") after helping to produce this page for the last few issues.
On this - their last page - the pupils from Hull's Polish School would like to mention the European Day of Languages which is on September 26th.
It's a day to celebrate different languages and different cultures, and is celebrated in 46 countries across Europe.
To celebrate the day, the pupils have put together some words in different languages which you might find useful when you go back to school or when you talk to friends from other countries.

To enter this month's competition you have to design a poster which should encourage people to learn a new language.
The poster should contain a pun (a play on words) and a picture.
The winner of the poster competition will receive a book called "How to speak culturese," a guidebook on how to communicate with people from different cultures.
The competition has been organised by Williams Language Solutions, so entries should be posted directly to them at: Williams Language Solutions (Ref: EDL 2008), 22a Woolsington Gardens, Woolsington, Newcastle, NE13 8AR, or email them to info@translate-it.org (Ref:EDL2008).
Full details can be found on their website at www.ecml.at/edl by clicking on 'search EDL events' then type in 'poster'
