Older people's day

Celebrations will take place in Queen Victoria Square on October 1 to mark National Older People's Day.
A wide variety of organisations, including Hull City Council, the Pensions Service, Age Concern and community and voluntary groups, will be on hand to offer advice and information.
That will include anything from home security and claiming benefits to healthy living and how to get involved in leisure and social activities.
"The day is also a chance to celebrate the contributions older people make to community and family," says Kerry Griffiths, from the council's Citizen Engagement Team.
"We're hoping the weather will be fine but most of the stalls will be inside a marquee in any case."
